Rapidly ascending Dutch DJ/producer, BELLA, secures the coveted position as the first new artist signed to Sally C's renowned imprint, Big Saldo’s Chunkers. Her inaugural production, the captivating 'Note to Self' EP, marks a significant milestone in her burgeoning career. Sally C's success is founded on nurturing relationships. Since the establishment of Big Saldo’s Chunkers in 2020, she has meticulously curated three EPs from her personal studio. The serendipitous encounter with BELLA at a summer festival in Amsterdam in 2022 sparked an instant connection, culminating in an impromptu b2b performance. Sharing a harmonious musical and energetic resonance, they maintained communication, leading BELLA to send Sally her debut creations, 'Note To Self' and 'Orchestra Spring'. Sally was so deeply moved by the tracks that they became the cornerstone of BELLA's debut artist EP on Big Saldo’s Chunkers. A single listen to the final EP elucidates Sally's decision to enshrine them within Chunkers. Three original compositions, drawing from '90s house, acid, electro, and progressive influences, pulsate with an indelible energy, defying categorization. The eponymous track, 'Note to Self', serves as both a sonic manifesto for BELLA's signature style and the EP as a whole. "This set the vibe and guided me through the creative process. I was really trying to make something that felt my own, that was also unique and not something I’ve heard before," she reveals. 'Note to Self' brims with attitude and dynamism, propelled by resounding old-school drums, a rapid grime-style vocal delivery, and a dual synth arrangement – one euphoric, the other adorned with a sleek '80s veneer – resulting in a memorable composition that Sally eagerly integrates into the Chunker repertoire. 'Orchestra Spring' follows suit as the buoyant sequel, a spirited fusion of groovy house with a rebellious streak, reveling in retro samples and psychedelic energy. Rounding off the trio is 'Odd Symphony', a scintillating after-hours anthem propelled by a bubbling acid bassline, gritty percussion, and warm chord progressions, imbuing the EP with a captivating afterglow. Sally's admiration for Olsvangèr, one of her favored producers, manifests in his dynamic remix of 'Odd Symphony', traversing upbeat house realms before venturing into euphoric rave territories.
