Andy Mac’s underground anthem ‘Everytime’ finally hits wax on Punch Drunk, following on from Kahn’s trailblazing 12” debut for the label back in February. ‘Everytime’ has been bumpin’ dance floors in Bristol and beyond for a year with it’s deep grooving, insistent rhythm and unmistakeable vocal. Flip over for brand new track, ‘Asteroid Belts’, a marching, gritty, late night mutant house rhythm that snakes it’s way into your consciousness. This original and infectious debut is contributing to a redefinition and reconfigurement of Bristol dance music for 2011. Starting out with Hip Hop, an aesthetic that defines his own productions, Andy Mac’s dj journey has taken him through Broken Beat, Jungle, House and Garage and more recently Dubstep. As a founding member of Bristol’s Falling Up crew, he promotes and djs at their own events across the city of Bristol, providing an alternative take on soulful and forward thinking dance music and featuring like minded guest artists such as Floating Points, Alexander Nut and Benji B along the way.
