A collaborative project between the duo consisting of Alva Noto and Byetone (Raster Noton’s co-founders), and the Japanese artist Atsuhiro Ito, known for his use of modified fluorescent tubes as a sound source (the instrument which he christened the Optron). In an incisive and elegant show, Ito’s solos are an excellent noisist counterpoint for Diamond Version’s minimalist post-techno screens. Discharges of sonic distortion to compliment the masterful patterns of constructivist electronica produced by Bender and Nicolai.
