Somehow, against all odds, Klasse Wrecks has reached the milestone of 50 official releases—a commendable feat for a label that proudly flaunts its defiance of norms and embraces ignorance. Throughout its journey, the label has unleashed a diverse array of sounds, traversing realms from bleep to rave, deep house to downtempo. The 50th release aptly captures this free-spirited ethos and openness that defines Klasse Wrecks. In a twist of fate rather than meticulous planning, label co-owner Luca Lozano takes the helm for this milestone release, resulting in a typically eclectic mix. The journey begins with the title track, a restless onslaught of acid stomps that bursts through the door, carelessly knocking over drinks, only to evolve into a cosmic breakdown that sends the 303 spiraling into the depths of space and back again. On the flip side, Lozano showcases his affection for gritty breakbeats and DX donks in "Re-Mix," a track that, contrary to its name, bears no relation to any prior remixes. Meanwhile, "Save Me From The Rave" on the same side exudes a sense of desperation amid the madness, yet the producer's craftsmanship shines through with an epic breakdown that feels like a farewell to all trance homages. Closing out the EP is a track that transports listeners to a Glastonbury field circa 1993, with haunting vocal harmonies signaling the impending sunrise and the dawn of a new chapter in the Wrecks Wrebellion saga. The special edition sleeve artwork, courtesy of label designer PLANETLUKE.COM, features a chaotic collage of past artwork from the label's previous 50 records, serving as a visual testament to Klasse Wrecks' bold and unapologetic journey.
